Every person and every body loses weight differently. According to the experts, healthy weight loss is about 1-2 pounds a week (or .5-1 kilos). If you are consistently losing over a pound a week, then you are doing everything right! The more weight you have to lose, the easier the first 20, 30, even 50 pounds will be. If you have 50+ pounds to lose, you may find you’re able to lose 3-5 pounds a week for the first few weeks. 

My suggestion to everyone would be to set realistic goals to keep yourself from becoming discouraged. Do not commit to losing something like 50 pounds in 2 months when that’s all you have to lose. 

Life happens, and things get in the way sometimes. You’re going to find that there are challenges along the way, and sometimes your weight loss will stall. Keep pushing yourself and just keep going. Do not get discouraged. 

Do set goals for yourself, but do not put too much pressure on meeting them. This is a lifelong journey to finding and keeping your health. If you commit to living a healthy lifestyle, you will reach all of the goals you set for yourself, even if they don’t turn out like you originally intended. You just have to learn how to roll with the punches.
