Anonymous asked: Do you know if there are any blogs to help teen/young women lose weight the healthy way? I'm 215 and 17 years old but I don't know where to begin on my weight loss journey.

Answer:

Welcome to the fitblr community my dear! There are TONS of healthy and inspirational blogs out there that are losing weight the right way. I try not to promote blogs on here because I realistically can’t access every healthy fitblr, so I don’t want to say one is better than another because I haven’t seen them all! Since you asked, I will provide you with links to my personal favorite fitblrs, the ones that have basically helped keep me motivated in my journey myself. Some of them update frequently, some of them are still on their journey, and some of them have already reached their goals. Whatever you’re looking for, I suggest tumblr searching the tag “fitblr” “fitspo” or “fitspiration” and you’re bound to come across some good fitblrs that you identify with.

My own fitblr is lifeisyourstomiss, and I started out at 235 pounds just last year.

Weight-a-second started out at 300+ and has lost 140 pounds in just over a year.

Curvecreation is an Australian fitblr who is very pro-health and gives great tips.

Enoughfluff started out in the 230s, and is now comfortably 100 pounds down and doing great things in the Peace Corps while continuing to train for marathons and live a healthy life.

Those three blogs definitely have to be my favorites and have helped inspire me so much. There’s a really great, supportive fitblr community out there, so just look through some blogs, see who they reblog/recommend, and soon you’ll have a plethora of inspiring people on your dash! Best of luck in your journey.
